LEED Consulting + Green Design

The benefits of green design are many. It means LESS impact on the environment, and IMPROVED productivity and quality of life, ENHANCED occupant comfort, and REDUCED operating costs. In evaluating green building for a client’s project, we consider site selection, storm water management, water efficient landscaping, water use reduction and building science. We also consider the use of local/regional materials and certified wood specification, as well as low-emitting materials, such as paints, adhesives, sealants and composite wood.

At Environment Architects, we were integrating responsible design practices and pursuing LEED certification before it became fashionable. For years, we’ve been practicing green design, and quite frankly, it’s second nature to us. Our mission has always been to blend environmentally conscious ideas into our design and practice. And now we’re helping other see the value of LEED certification.

Simply put, LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building, home or community has been designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health — sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

With our experience and passion for green design, we can carefully advise your project and walk you through the certification process.
